Create a season-opener motion system that could feel cinematic on the main screen while remaining readable and energetic across Rogers Place halo and LED formats with radically different proportions.

Build the opener as a modular After Effects system, then carry its typography, logo animation, HUD/data language, glitch and displacement treatments, LED patterns, and image-animation techniques across the main film, halo displays, suite LEDs, loge LEDs, and logo bumper.

The final package gave the Edmonton Oilers a season-opening visual system designed for the entire room, not just one screen. The main hype film and supporting arena formats shared the same motion vocabulary, allowing the experience to move from cinematic storytelling into halo, suite, loge, and logo-bumper moments without breaking visual continuity.

The result was a cohesive game-night identity engineered for scale, pace, and fan energy.
