The D.L. Moody Center needed to connect a historic ministry legacy with a present-day call to action. The film had to distinguish the Center from other Moody organizations, build an emotional donor connection, and communicate spiritual transformation without feeling overly cartoonish, academic, or institutional.

MattiBurns built the story around light entering an ordinary, muted world. Historical research, contemporary character design, original illustration, rigged 2D animation, voice production, sound design, and atmospheric compositing transformed Moody’s early conversion story into a concise invitation to echo the call through community, worship, learning, and service.

The completed 1080p film was delivered to the D.L. Moody Center and put into use. Later project follow-up recorded that the client loved the animation. The finished work also established a visual and production foundation for additional stories within the Center’s broader Challenge, Convene, Proclaim framework.
