Project Overview

A story worth passing on.
An emotion worth feeling.

DL Moody Center partnered with MattiBurns to create Humble Beginnings, the first animated story in a larger Scarlet Thread Project vision around “Convene, Challenge, Proclaim.” The project needed to do more than retell history. It needed to help viewers feel the call, the light, and the living legacy behind D. L. Moody’s story.

From the earliest kickoff conversations, the creative direction centered on emotional connection, bold dark visuals, revival language, and a donor-facing “mission moment” that could invite people into the Center’s work without becoming overly analytical.

A donor-facing mission moment designed to help viewers feel the call, the light, and the living legacy behind the story.
